At Gillcraft Welding, we're all about making good use of resources that are readily available to us in an attempt to reduce our environmental footprint. An example of our efforts is to repurpose shipping containers which are being stockpiled in holding yards around the country and the globe.

Shipping containers are engineered for structural strength and durability making them the ideal portable offices. They are extremely versatile and unlike other prefabricated offices they are stackable allowing you to free up valuable floor space whether in a factory or other site locations.

Workshops, Man caves, Teenage retreat, Studios, Summer house / Garden retreats you name it……..there are 101 ways you can take advantage of repurposing a shipping container. If the modern industrial look is not to your taste, there are many options for cladding your container to achieve a certain look or to blend it into the local environment.

To guarantee quality, we only use single trip / new shipping containers for all our projects.

Our standard office configuration is fully insulated with 50mm EPS panelling providing optimum insulation as well as offering a magnetic workspace to hang site/work plans etc.  All internal wiring is placed behind the panelling providing a cleaner aesthetic appearance. We can provide a range of different finishes ie, colours, air conditioning solutions, window and door configurations as well as different flooring options all based on your personal requirements.
